What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a popular skin exfoliation procedure. Your treatment will begin with a gentle cleanse followed by the removal the top layer of dead skin cells and peach fuzz (“vellus hair”) with our dermaplaning instrument to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. Your treatment is completed with application of customized correctives and SPF. Not only will this treatment leave your face feeling softer, it will also allow for easier and more even makeup application.

Why Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning allows for easier and more even makeup application and better absorption of your skincare products. Dermaplaning is suitable for most skin types. If there are any inflammatory conditions or acne breakouts on your face, dermaplaning should be avoided. Dermaplaning can be done up to once monthly. The exfoliation and removal of vellus hair will leave your skin brighter, softer and smoother.
Recovery Time After Dermaplaning?
There is no downtime so you can return to your day after dermaplaning. There are, however, some things to keep in mind after the procedure:

After your dermaplaning appointment at our Louisville medspa, please follow a simple skincare routine for 1 week:
- Do not use any harsh facial cleansers or serums products for 72 hour
- Always apply SPF everyday!
- Maximize your results with medical-grade skincare. Dermaplaning allows your skincare to penetrate more deeply and give you the most benefit.
- We recommend avoiding makeup the day of your dermaplaning treatment.
