About Our Team
Ashley Summers, APRN, NP-C
Ashley Summers began her career nearly ten years ago as an adult and gerontology nurse practitioner for in Louisville, Kentucky. After finishing her Bachelors degree in Psychology at the University of Kentucky, she completed a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Bellarmine University in 2011. Ashley practiced as a registered nurse at Baptist Health Louisville on the Neuroscience and Stroke Unit before obtaining her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati.
For the past ten years, she has worked as a nurse practitioner in aesthetics, subacute rehabilitation, long term-care, and non-surgical orthopedics. Her passion lies in helping patients enhance their natural beauty and achieve their aesthetic and skin care goals by using evidence-based treatments. She is committed to continuing education in the aesthetic field in order to deliver the most medically sound, safe and effective treatments directly to you. She enjoys working with patients to help them soften the results of aging, promote healthy skincare habits, and preserve a more youthful and bright appearance.
Ashley was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She currently resides there with her husband and son. She enjoys reading, cross stitching, exercise and spending time with her husband and family.
Kristi Abell, Office Manager
As our office manager at Summers Aesthetics, Kristi is the first smiling face you will see upon arrival at our Louisville medspa. After managing insurance offices for several years, she joined our Summers Aesthetics team to help grow our office and follow her interests in the aesthetic industry. In addition to Kristi’s vast knowledge of medical-grade skincare and facial rejuvenation, she is also a certified laser specialist. Kristi is native to Iowa and she moved to Kentucky three years ago. She is married and has one daughter.
Jocie Salgado, Licensed Esthetician
Jocelin Salgado, our beloved licensed esthetician at Summers Aesthetics, is a graduate of PJ’s College of Cosmetology. Jocie is passionate about all things skincare for all people, colors, and ethnicities. . She began her love for the aesthetic industry while working as the business development assistant for Vitality Institute, the makers of the famous VI®peel. She enjoys working with our clients to not only give them the most luxurious facial treatments at our spa, but to also educate our them on how to continue good skin habits at home. She develops customized care plans and skincare regimens for each client she meets. She is certified with both PCA® Skin and with Vitality Institute for administration of the client-adored PCA® and VI® chemical peels. She is certified with Cartessa® for our laser Cool Peel® treatments as well. For any brow or lash treatments, she is your go-to esthetician for facial waxing, brow-shaping, tinting and lash services.
Jocelin is a native to Louisville, Kentucky and resides her with her fiancé and has a mini-golden doodle. Sir Winston. She is an avid boxer and enjoys exercising, spending time with family and shopping for all things skincare and beauty!
