RF Microneedling - Pixel 8

What is Pixel8 RF Microneedling?

Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling devices use specially insulated or non-insulated needles that deliver high intensity radio frequency energy into the targeted tissue once the needles have broken through the skin. This treatment utilizes bipolar energy, putting heat far down into the layers of the epidermis and dermis. The aim behind this is to boost and revamp collagen and bring on the regeneragtion of the vital elastin cells.

Faqs

Microneedling, also referred to as “collagen induction therapy, dermarolling and skin needling” is a cosmetic procedure where a person’s skin is repeatedly pricked with teeny, sterile needles in order to trigger a brief inflammatory response in the skin.  This process helps to trigger new collagen production. This cosmetic treatment  is intended to help your skin quality and overall texture. Microneedling can also reduce the appearance of fine lines, scarring and hyperpigmentation.  At Summers Aesthetics we offer both SkinPen® microneedling and radiofrequency microneedling.

At  Summers Aestheticcs we use a device called SkinPen® for microneedling.  For radiofrequency microneedling we use the Pixel-8 microneedling device made by Rhorer Aesthetics. SkinPen® is the first FDA approved microneedling device for the face, neck and decolletage.  Our clinical team is certified by Crown Aesthetics, the makers of SkinPen® and by Rhorer Aesthetics, the makers of the Pixel-8 radiofrequency microneedling device.

Microneedling sessions can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars (including acne scars), aging or other skin issues. It is  minimally invasive and sessions are completed in about 30 minutes after topical numbing is complete. Prior to treatment, a topical anesthetic ointment is applied to reduce discomfort. To see maximum results, our skin care studio recommends at least 3 treatments 6 weeks apart, or as instructed by your Summers Aesthetics esthetician as part of your custom treatment plan.

Microneedling at Summers Aesthetics is safe for most  skin types.  Our clinical staff will assess your overall skin quality and determine your Fitzpatrick skin type.  Furthermore, your aesthetic goals with be discussed and our team can determine if microneedling aligns with those goals.

In some cases, yes.  Our clinical staff at Summers Aesthetics will be happy to discuss the many treatments that can safely accompany, and even enhance your microneedling treatments.
