Microneedling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, dermarolling and skin needling is a cosmetic procedure where a person’s skin is repeatedly pricked with teeny, sterile needles.is a cosmetic treatmentintended to help your skin look younger andbrighter. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines, scarring and wrinkles. This minimally invasive procedure pricks your skin with tiny, sterilized needles. The process boosts collagen and elastin production, helping your skin heal and giving you a younger look.
Microneedling sessions can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars (including acne scars), aging or other skin issues. It is non-invasive and sessions are completed in about 30 minutes. Prior to treatment, a topical anesthetic ointment is applied to reduce discomfort. To see maximum results, our skin care studio recommends at least 3 treatments 6 weeks apart, or as instructed by your Summers Aesthetics esthetician as part of your custom treatment plan.
Facial microneedling at Summers Aesthetics is safe on all skin types and colors because the skin’s layers are not damaged during treatment.
The chance of change in your skin’s color or pigmentation is very small. Skin microneedling can be used on sensitive and fragile areas (eyes, neck, back of hands) that cannot easily be treated with other procedures.

- Howis the device cleaned between patients?
- Is a new microneedle cartridge is used for each patient?
- How about a new cartridge for each treatment session for the same patient?
- How much downtime should I expect?
- How far apart should I do my treatments?
- Are there products or other aesthetics procedures would you recommend along with the microneedling?
